Welcome to Warrior Fitness World

As a personal trainer, I'm often asked many questions about fitness and exercise so I decided to create this website which contains articles and discussions on working out and nutrition.  I create most of the content, although my husband submits some articles as well.  I am also a fitness writer for Black Health Magazine (see article). If you have any questions or comments please use the Forum.  If you want to contact me directly you can use the Contact Form.  I also offer in home personal training for clients in the Atlanta area and Online Personal Training for anyone anywhere in the world. About Me  (Trainer in the Atlanta Area)

Trainer Name:  Akanke Birmingham 

Education/Certifications:  ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer, Specialist in Performance Nutrition

Experience:  I began training others in 1998 and have worked in a variety of settings:  a popular health club, a private one on one training studio, a ladies gym, outdoors, and in the home.  I recently received my FAME Pro Card.

Competition History:  I have competed in fitness model competitions.  The results were as follows:

  • SNBF GA FAME        - 1st place

  • SNBF Capital Classic  - 1st place

  • SNBF Southern Open  - 1st place

  • SNBF Nationals           - 2nd place

Area of Expertise:  Education.  If a client doesn’t know why she is exercising and eating right, there are no consequences for not doing it, therefore, the likelihood that she will keep it up on her own is low.   

Goal as a Trainer:  I’d like to change female fitness.  There are too many myths about the way women should train and eat.

Even in this day and age, many women are still afraid to use weights heavier than 3 pounds.  Some are afraid to eat carbohydrates.  As a woman, I am sensitive to these issues, yet as a trainer, I provide the proper information to make educated decisions.  

Philosophy: Your results (good or bad) are the sum of the things you do each day.  Make good decisions everyday if you want good results.
