Does it make sense to do lower body weight training prior to an interval spin class? I try to break things up but scheduling issues sometimes get in the way and it happens I am due for lower body weight and spin class changed days...

Hi, I decided to do upper - since I could - it had been a couple days, and instead of spin I took a real bike ride up hills for 30 mins. All in all I think that was a good choice, the biking on real hills is pretty intense and I got to do a hard upper workout.
I should be recovered plenty to do a good lower body tomorrow.
Your response was in line with what I thought - so I am glad i made the choice I did so I could work to the intensity I wanted.
thanks! Kim |

| That was a good decision then, since you got a good workout. I like that you did a real bike ride up a hill, too! |

I usually try to do my cardio (biking and swimming) on days that I don't do upper and/or lower body workouts. I like doing spin classes too as the instructors usually push me pretty hard but it can't beat getting out in the fresh air and riding a real bike. There are nature trails in our city that go for about 16 miles total that I'll ride.
